Challenge #11

We are continuing with our Dr. Seuss theme with this challenge. You have a little more freedom on this one. Pick one of these quotes to use anywhere on your page. Could be the title could be in the journaling.

“I have heard there are troubles of more than one kind. Some come from ahead and some come from behind. But I've bought a big bat. I'm all ready you see. Now my troubles are going to have troubles with me!”

Today was good. Today was fun. Tomorrow is another one.”

And will you succeed? Yes indeed, yes indeed! Ninety-eight and three-quarters percent guaranteed!”

If you never did you should. These things are fun and fun is good”

I'm sorry to say
so but, sadly it's true
that bang-ups and hang-ups
can happen to you"”

Just tell yourself, Duckie, you're really quite lucky!”

Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.”

2nd part....Use one of these great book covers as a sketch if you will or inspiration for your page...

What do you think? Would you could you in a house? Would you could you with a mouse? Well we did and here is what we came up with.

Remember post a comment here when you are finished with a link so we can see your lovely creation! Due March 30th.

P.s. Due to our sponsor going out of business Marie is going to donate one of her owl books from her etsy as the prize! Good luck!

Guest Mojo girl

Our guest Mojo girl is someone who inspires me through her scrapbooking and her tattoos! I love them both. Here she is Christine.

Christine Johansen

2. What is your Day job? I work fulltime in a photostore.

3. Do you have a spouse¡¦children..pets?
I live together with my boyfriend. We have a cat named Rambo! (Yes, he is named after Sylvester Stallone, haha!)

4. Do you have a blog that you regularly post on? If so, what is the link. (I try to post every once in a while, I'm a bad blogger :P)

5. How long have you been scrap booking?
Hm. Since the beginning of 2007 I think.. Time flies..

6. Where do you find your inspiration for layouts?Everywhere! Interior magazines, music videos, on the street, on posters, from movies, from pictures. And last but not least; My friends!

7. What is your ¡°must-have¡± item on a layout (other than the necessities)?
THICKERS! I'm a total addict!

8. What would you say your scrapping style is? What is your favorite technique?
It's fun and bright! :D I love to mix lots of different colors together :D And I love to use non-scrapping products like vintage music sheets and vintage book pages. I love to use anything thats scrapable!

9. Can you describe your scrapping process?
I dont think I have a process. Sometimes I want to use THAT paper, or THAT product and sometimes I just have a picture that I want to have in my album. I just glue everything onto my paper and hope for the best, haha. I suck at planning!

10. Where can we see more of your work (online galleries, etc.)
I design for my LSS, so you can find some of my work in their blog: I also have a flick-gallery, which can be found here: (a mix of both photos and LO's!). And offcourse, I'm on SIStv too;

Don't forget to leave her some love.

Challenge #10

Well this month is someone near and dear to my heart (and I'm sure the hearts of everyone) birthday. If you were a kid who loved to read or be read to you knew this mans books. They inspired imagination and creativity. Since we at mojo are all about inspiring imagination and creativity your challenge is going to be based on the man of rhymes. Use "Oh the places you'll go" anywhere on your page. Second part is use one of these print outs on your page anyway you like...

If you don't have a printer go to the goodwill and find a old Seuss book to use. Sounds fun right? Wanna know what you're playing for?

A beautiful kit from Scrapperie! Sandi puts together the most beautiful things!

Here are the Mojo girls totally wicked takes on this challenge.

Guest Mojo Girl

I'm so excited! I got to meet this lovely girl in person and she is super fantabulous! I know you will think so too!

1.Name Nikki Peterson

2. What is your ¡°Day¡± job? Starbucks store manager

3. Do you have a spouse¡¦children..pets? yup, married for 5 years to Ron, whom I met at Starbucks 10 years ago. We also have a parrot, a python, a gecko and two dogs. Lola is 1 year old beagle and Toby is a 3 year old min pin/ rat terrier mix. you can see the doggies in a lot of my pages.

4. Do you have a blog that you regularly post on? If so, what is the link. define regularly... just kidding,

5. How long have you been scrap booking? 9 years off and on (i was pretty poor during college so i didn't do it much then)

6. Where do you find your inspiration for layouts? Everywhere, there are tons of awesome scrappers out there so they inspire me alot, but I also pull a lot of ideas from home decor and fashion magazines and lately I have been inspired by everything at Starbucks, the posters, Starbucks cards etc...

7. What is your must-have item on a layout (other than the necessities)? hmmm, other than patterned paper I would have to say paint, although incidentally I didn't use it on the mojo layout... oops!

8. What would you say your scrapping style is? my style is funky, bright and messy, sometimes with a touch of class. What is your favorite technique? I have tons of fun techniques using paint.

9. Can you describe your scrapping process? Once I have a picture I look for some patterned paper that coordinates or creates the mood for the pic, then i just start gluing and messing around and then add embellishments once I have the design complete. Most the time I change my mind as I go and rip things off and re-glue elsewhere. I know I should wait to glue until I am sure, but it just doesn't work that way for me. (I also don't journal in pencil first....ooooohhh...don't tell!)

10. Where can we see more of your work (online galleries, etc.) On my blog and over at Scrap in Style TV

Nbr 9 winner
